Heroes and Villains – Assemble!

Disney Cruise Line is making waves with a series of exciting announcements about the Disney Destiny, a brand-new ship inspired by heroes and villains, set to sail in late 2025 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From July 30 through August 1, 2024, we’re revealing everything you need to know about this incredible addition to our fleet!

Embrace the Bold, Brilliant, Bad … and a Little Bit Mad!

“We’re baaaack!” with another day of thrilling news about the Disney Destiny, the latest masterpiece from Disney Cruise Line! We’re diving into the darker side, showcasing spaces and experiences inspired by some of Disney’s most iconic villains and mischievous characters.

With a “Heroes and Villains” theme, the Disney Destiny will explore the duality that drives every great Disney story. Light and dark, good and evil—these are the forces that shape our favorite characters. Onboard, Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters will come to life in themed venues and entertainment, including brand-new lounges dedicated to Cruella de Vil and Pirates of the Caribbean.

DeVilish Delights

What’s black, white, and red all over? On the Disney Destiny, guests can indulge in a glamorous night out at De Vil’s piano lounge, a lavish space inspired by none other than Cruella de Vil from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ One Hundred and One Dalmatians and the 2021 live-action film.

Adorned in her signature color palette of red, black, and white, this adult-exclusive lounge captures Cruella’s flair for style and wicked attitude. The centerpiece? A spotted piano that’s as bold as Cruella herself. Located just off the Grand Hall, De Vil’s offers trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous glasses of bubbly—an experience that’s anything but “miserable, darling.”

Drink Up, Me Hearties, Yo Ho

At Cask and Cannon, guests are invited to join the ranks of the Pirates of the Caribbean for a night of rum-soaked revelry!

Inspired by the beloved Disney Parks attractions, this new pub is an eclectic, cozy watering hole filled with treasures “acquired” during the pirates’ many voyages. Guests can share tales of high seas adventures, cheer during live sporting events, and indulge in rare, specialty, and vintage rums. There’s even a selection of “bootlegged” brews developed especially for the venue, served straight from the barrel. What say you?

We Dare Not Stop or Waste a Drop

The AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line’s signature attraction at sea, returns on the Disney Destiny with a brand-new storyline, “Sing a Silly Song,” featuring encounters with famous Disney villains. Before completing the 760-foot-long water ride, guests will join Mickey and Minnie Mouse on a trek to the peak of Villain Mountain. But what happens when you face some of Disney’s most fearsome villains? You sing a silly song, of course!

With the help of a little pixie dust, every chilling encounter turns into a wacky surprise. Families will laugh and splash along as the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Scar (The Lion King), Chernabog (Fantasia), and others find themselves in the silliest of situations.

Be Prepared for the Chance of a Lifetime

Aboard the Disney Destiny, guests will encounter a fearsome crew of villains throughout the ship, including Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and Oogie Boogie, as well as some of Disney’s most mischievous personalities like Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno, and Loki. Families can interact with these characters during new events and activities, such as a dance party in Oogie Boogie’s lair and interactive Disney trivia that might just be interrupted by a cast of villains.

Happy Haunts Materialize

Foolish mortals will be invited to sip spirited craft cocktails among the 999 happy haunts of Disney Parks lore at the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a highly anticipated lounge debuting first on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Treasure this December.

At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, guests will enjoy ghostly cocktails that capture the spirit of the story, while legendary characters from Haunted Mansion attractions around the world come out to socialize in mysterious ways—along with a few new seafaring arrivals.

Your Very Own Hero’s Journey

First up: A host of hero-worthy new spaces and experiences inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar films!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Disney Destiny will debut a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the unforgettable music of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King, an exclusive confectionary themed to Pixar Animation Studio’s The Incredibles, and legendary accommodations perfect for relaxing after a day of heroic feats.

The ‘Mane’ Event — A Feast for the Senses

What’s better than dinner or a show? How about both! Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King is a first-of-its-kind Disney dining experience that will bring the iconic songs and moments of The Lion King to life for families throughout dinner.

Guests can expect live musicians and storytellers presenting a musical journey through The Lion King soundtrack, using authentic African instruments and theatrical props. From “Circle of Life” to a mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared,” this show will be a musical retelling of Simba’s heroic journey—a truly unforgettable meal on the high seas.

It’s a Sweet Shop, Darling (That’s a New Feature)

Edna Mode’s lab from The Incredibles will be transformed into a unique confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets aboard the Disney Destiny.

Inspired by the “Auntie Edna” short film, Edna’s sewing equipment will be repurposed as sweet-making devices. The result? Marvelous! This dessert spot will feature handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies, and specialty treats, all served in a space full of fabric bolts and costume models. Guests might even spot picture-perfect sculptures of Edna and Jack-Jack!

Fuel for Heroic Feats

Located just off the Grand Hall, two walk-up cafes will serve a mighty selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and snacks. Guests can fuel up for heroic adventures at Café Megara, inspired by Disney Animation’s Hercules, or at Café Merida, inspired by Pixar’s Brave with its Celtic-centered design.

Hero-Worthy Retreats

A hero’s welcome awaits guests aboard the Disney Destiny. Their stateroom will be a luxurious retreat where families can rest, reconnect, and dream of far-off places.

Like every Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Destiny will offer spacious, comfortable, and functional staterooms designed to meet the needs of families. Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, and many will offer connecting doors for easy travel with extended family and friends.

Concierge guests aboard the Disney Destiny will receive premium service and access to exclusive areas, including a concierge lounge and private sun deck. Among the concierge staterooms and suites will be four royal suites inspired by Hercules and The Incredibles, offering accommodations and views of heroic proportions.
